Bio
Prof Dorothea Nitsch is a nephrologist and epidemiologist focusing on kidney disease and public health. She is a professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an honorary consultant nephrologist at the Royal Free London NHS Trust. With expertise in medical statistics, she studies kidney disease progression and its risk factors in diverse populations. Dr Nitsch contributes to building research capacity in Africa through collaborations and teaching. Since 2023 she shares the role of Medical Director at LSHTM and represents LSHTM's interests within UCLPartners.
