The Precision Health Care University Research Institute (PHURI) unites multi-disciplinary research to drive personalised healthcare from East London, addressing unmet health needs and improving the lives of our local communities and across the world. PHURI gives us the opportunity to join and build on existing initiatives across Queen Mary University of London and Barts. The team of multidisciplinary researchers focus on how disease impacts different patient groups and how to best address their needs. The research addresses four interconnected research centres which come together to create a complete journey from disease identification, through the development of a therapy, intervention, or device, to translation for patients in the clinic. This integrated approach is a distinguishing feature of PHURI.
